This month’s featured client came to us after being out of the industry for several years after following his passion to culinary school. He wanted to get back into the real estate management business, but his professional momentum was lost and his business relationships were out of touch.
Our client had a solid background in corporate real estate. As regional real estate director for a well-known financial services firm and several years as a third-party real estate manager for a global financial services firm, he had the skills and the experience. He just needed help selling himself and landing the interviews. That’s where we took over.
We placed him as Director of Real Estate with a regional industrial supply firm, but after four months, he was downsized as a result of a failed merger. We told him to come back and just three months later, we placed him in an even better position as National Real Estate Director reporting directly to the CEO—complete with greater responsibility and higher compensation.
